Polyurethane finishes (Resisport and Resiper ranges) are intended for athletics tracks and for sports pitches. Consisting of a mixture of rubber granules and polyurethane resin, these finishes are poured in-situ in one or two coats, depending on the desired level of performance. Various installation techniques may be envisaged - for example, using a finisher or a straight edge - and the surface appearance will depend on the installation technique used.
The base course consists of a polyurethane binder bonding SBR granules together. Its mechanical qualities provide it with high resistance against friction from shoes, with or without studs or spikes.
Resisport C2i is a premium end Competition surface. Resisport C2i is a poured-in-place (cast-in-situ) system with an impermeable two-coat finish. The wearing course comprises a coloured polyurethane slurry, sprinkled to rejection with EPDM granules. This product is the top-of-the-range of athletics track finishes in terms of levels of performance and of life-span.
All the systems have been designed to meet the requirements of athletics stadiums holding high-level competitions. The quality of its components ensures that the Tarkett Synthetic Track systems retain its sports qualities consistently stable over time. Its lifespan, which is already long, can be extended by surfacing with Resisport Topping.
Recently FieldTurf - Tarkett also introduced the latest technology based pre-fabricated range (Le Monde).
Le Monde is a 2-Layer, prefabricated system which is impermeable. The top layer is about 4mm thick and the bottom layer is about 9mm thick, together providing a minimum thickness of 13mm. However, based on the client needs, or the specifications / application, a thicker (14mm / 15mm) or thinner system can also be provided.
Natural and Synthetic materials are vulcanized to provide a uniform surface. Machine manufactured to provide exacting standards, the base layer is engineered to provide consistent response, while the aggressive texture allows for unparalleled traction in any weather.
